Kiss cutting is the process of cutting through a material layer to the supporting layer or release liner.

The kiss cut die is tooled to cut to the exact thickness of the supporting layer. The kiss cut method is available for both rotary and flatbed processes.

Kiss cutting has to be performed precisely. If the release liner is cut into or has a deep impression in the liner, parts may not come off the liner properly. Hi-Tech has proprietary kiss cutting techniques ensuring optimum depth of cut.
